Delayed Obedience=Disobedience

Have God given you clear instructions that carry a time line?

Have you been procrastinating or lazy to carry out that task at the allotted time?

Have you been fearful or insecure believing that you are incapable of carrying out such a task?

Well get over yourself and just do it already! God will never call you to something that he knows he can’t do through you or in you. First thing you should say to yourself, if God calls me to it, then he already got a plan. Second thing is, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. There is just so much power and promises that reside in the Word of God. When you read it, when you speak it in your situations and over yourselves, it ignites strength and deposits a Spirit of I Am in you. I am God’s servant, I am walking by faith, I am designed for greatness, I am able to because God is able and I am a chosen generation because God says so.

Do you know who your I AM is?

Are you confident in God?

Will you allow God to be your leader and to steer you like he did with DAVID?

You know, I am not going to be dumb-folded and say, I always move at what God says with in a blink of an eye. There are some things that requires you to sit back and observe, to seek God even more and to wait on your confirmations. Clear instructions from God does flicker some amount of fear. I must admit, When i heard God said clearly, feed the hungry out of your lack. I said instantly but God my lack cannot even stretch that far, what sense would that make to feed just 10 people? I started to question God on his instructions, i started to put on a leadership cap and revered God as my best friend who had the potential to mislead. I forgot that i must always revered him as God and that he always knows what is best and what he wants. I forgot it is not my will but it is the Lord’s and so i went a head and i navigated. I requested help from others all over both locally and internationally and then it hit me. I was convicted with his very words he spoke, ‘Feed the hungry from YOUR lack.’ I was so distraught, instantly i said Lord my God, forgive me, I just wanted to give you my best and he reminded my best is from my lack. Remember the story of Cain and Abel? that story flashed across my mind and I said, ‘Wow, Father please forgive me and trust me to make this correction, i will request every person who made commitment and even those i have not received commitment from to stand back. I will feed the hungry from my lack.’

This is to say many times instructions from God spirals fear and insecurities. Your faith too becomes attacked by eloquence and self. However, it is always important that we do have the ability to humble ourselves before God so he may redirect us to his instructions. It also requires us to be surrendered that we are ready and willing to repent and to make every step to correct our wrongs. It requires patience and diligence.

Have you been reluctant with the works of God lately?

Have you lost your first love?

Have you lost hope?

Remember all it takes is a conversation with God, get on your knees, tell him all that you feel and relate your regrets. God wants our heart, when we are able to be true to ourselves and to God then we are really able to surrender to his calling. Do not be apart of the many, as the word of God says, ‘Many are Called but few are Chosen.’

Will you be the few who are chosen?

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, help me to understand how to submit to your ways and to your requests. Father i ask that you forgive me of all the times you ordered me to do or say and I have not. Release me Lord from the spirit of fear, of doubts and of procrastination. Rid me of self and laziness. Renew a right Spirit in me O’Lord and direct my path in Jesus’ name, Amen.
